It has been a busy week and I finally have a chance to update you on some of the great happenings around Houston. One being, “Wine & food Week” in the Woodlands, Texas. If you haven’t noticed, I am a foodie and love a great event with remarkable food and drinks. I partnered with Wine & food Week to giveaway two tickets to the coveted Women, Wine & All things Fashion Event. The evening was the perfect Girl’s Night Out from girly-girl wines to flawless fashion. This night was the perfect spoiler for the evening.

I attended the Sips, Suds & Tacos event on Friday night and let me start off by saying, it was a great way to kick off the weekend.

If you are from Texas then you know Tacos are a thing…a HUGE thing. I got my fill of tasty tacos from a ballroom filled with these crunchy (or soft) flavor packed bites. Did I mention there was Beer & Wine…plenty of it. Your ticket includes a punch card to sample a variety of sips to wet your whistle. They had a huge selection of beer with great eye-catching packaging. If only I was a beer kind of girl, I’d be all over the barley section…but the variety of can designs definitely had me interested.

Taco Takedown was the theme of the night and let’s just say these chefs came to battle! From a catfish taco to a tuna tar tar crunchy taco, there was enough variety and selection to feed your cravings. This was the perfect event to try something different than your standard taco. From a catfish cajun taco to tuna tartare tacos by GOYA foods, these chefs knew what was the perfect mix to bring that fiesta to your mouth.

One of my favorite wine brands, Cupcake Vineyards were in attendance and let’s just say, I used up most of my punches at this stop.

What also deserves a mention is Roscato brand. I definitely will be picking up a bottle for my next social event mixer.

Huge Congrats to Churrascos for winning the Taco Takedown. Seems like we need to take a trip to Churrascos to have this award winning taco!
